One of the most important things you learn in the Corps is know when to take a break and when a break is offered you take it. This includes eating shitting hygiene and sleeping. A Marine can not be effective if they do not take care of their body or abuse themselves. If your are falling apart in a fire fight how are you supposed to assist your buddies they depend on you. The mission depends on you that’s why marines have a traditional warriors breakfast of steak and eggs. Cant fight if you are out of gas nerveless complete a mission. If you have a 30 mi window to sleep you sleep for 30 min if you have a window to eat you eat ECT. Your body as a marine is a piece of equipment if you don’t maintain it it will break on you; sure they train you how to deal with fatigue filth and hunger but ultimately that is just discipline training to help get you to your next real rest up fuel up and clean up. Marines are human beings and require all the same things all humans need.
